At the peak of production, the US had over 400 hydraulic fracking fleets until oil and gas prices crashed, removing the profitability in 2019, only to be crushed with a world glut during the Covid pandemic. Hydraulic fracking had almost ceased to exist during that time.
Yet as the pandemic wains, and instability in the world is on the rise, we suddenly see tremors in the oil and gas industry. The decimated hydraulic fracking, and oil industry in general is seeing a major comeback based on the current price of oil, and it is happening fast.
The price of oil was on the rise even before the situation in Eastern Europe, with the number of fracking fleets doubling in the last year.
This has led to sudden demand on oil and gas part manufacturing and fabrication. Greno Industries has a long history in this segment producing components such as valves, and compressor discs.
Greno Industries has been keeping an eye on the situation and has the machinery, and the industry experience to quickly help with any machining needs. During the boom we invested heavily in the proper machinery that made it cost effective for the oil and gas industry to work with us.
For example, Greno Industries employs two Mazak FH880 horizontal milling centers each with high pressure thru-spindle coolant and a combined 200 pocket tool magazine. These two work horses are integrated with a 12 station, Mazak PALLETECH Rail system.
This automated machine can work on multiple components moving parts from start to finish with little operation other than loading blanks and removing finished parts.
For large forging and turning work, such as mandrels and spool bodies, we have an LU7000 and LOC 650.

The GIS Valve is designed and manufactured by Geno Industries and is a flawless and safe option as a boiler pressure relief system. All seals are precisely milled steel creating a leak free operation. All GIS Valves are milled and assembled at the Greno Factory.
