In the horizontal milling cell, Greno Industries employs two Mazak FH880 horizontal milling centers each with high pressure thru-spindle coolant and a combined 200 pocket tool magazine. These two work horses are integrated with a 12 station, Mazak PALLETECH Rail system.
This system comes with an individual load/unload station and a rail car that will deploy any one of the 12 stations individually or in sequence. The combination of the two milling centers and the rail system allow Greno Industries to offer a two prong approach to your manufacturing needs. In higher product volume situations, the system can be used to mirror all 12 stations and respective fixtures to handle a fully automated production run completely un-manned for maximum efficiency.
This is a LIGHTS OUT system and is able to function for hours at a time with no operator. If an issue arises an alarm goes off alerting staff. Most of the working time is only paying for machine time and not man hours, making this an exceptionally affordable system for large repeatable work.
In situations where the volume is lower and the set-ups are higher, each station can be completely customized for an individual operation. The machine operator can be build a single fixture on each station while the components are being run on their existing station.
This completely eliminates the costly and inefficient time to set-up and breakdown a single machine to complete a part with multiple operations. The components of this cell are far from industry specific. This technology can be used across all industries to suit all manufacturing needs.
